Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar*

  • 2 tsp ground ginger root

  • 1 medium egg* or egg substitute

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 2 4/5 cups plain flour

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour, baking soda, and ginger into a mixing bowl.

  2. Rub in the butterand add the sugar.

  3. Beat the egg and syrup and add to the flour mix.

  4. Roll out onto a floured surface and use cutters of your choice.

  5. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheitfor 12 to 15 minutes until golden. Leave on a wire rack to cool.

  6. Decorate however you like. Enjoy!
